The Harford County Deputy Sheriff’s Union (HCDSU), representing over 300 dedicated law enforcement professionals, has formally endorsed Jeffrey R. Gahler for Sheriff in the 2026 Republican Primary. The membership vote was made after both candidates for the Office of Sheriff presented their vision for the next four years to the membership during the HCDSU’s March meeting.
Founded in 1989 to protect and improve the lives of Harford County’s deputy sheriffs, the HCDSU has spent over three decades fighting for fair wages, retirement security, and the well-being of its members. Their endorsement reflects a commitment to supporting leadership that will honor those same values.
